In 2020 the Institute will launch a new Professional Accreditation Program. This will allow for professionals who work in regenerative, ecological and organic agriculture and/or natural resource management to join a professional network and have their expertise recognised. The Scheme is currently being developed and will launch in 2020.
Professionals who work in the areas of agroecology, organic, biological and regenerative agriculture, permaculture, natural resource and land management and holistic management will be invited to apply for Professional Accreditation. This field is framed by a holistic world view and an ecological approach to food and farming systems, communities and the environment. Professional Accreditation will be possible by successfully meeting a number of criteria which are based on education and/or practical experience.
The Program’s objectives are to:
Provide Australian agriculture with a network of professionals who are capable of supporting the change to regenerative and ecologically based agriculture and who are helping to create healthy rural landscapes and communities.
The Program will invite Professionals working in agriculture and related fields to become professionally accredited with AIEA under one or more of the Professional Categories. All applicants have to meet minimum professional criteria to ensure the ability for ecological thinking that leads to holistic outcomes. Depending on the professional qualification and/or experience applicants may need to complete further professional development courses to be eligible for Professional Accreditation.
