Can you help?

The AIEA has had the following requests. If you can help please contact the institute.

Request 1:
I’m a retired economic development professional and I’m interested in helping the Maranguka Aboriginal Corporation of Bourke develop an arid-zone botanic garden in the grounds of the Back of Bourke Centre. The proposal will train 8 local people in horticulture and landscaping and give Bourke an added tourist attraction and to create much needed employment. The proposal is for the botanic garden to feature exotic and indigenous plants with an Aboriginal food trail through the indigenous section.

Request 2:
From Land Services NSW Advertisement: Are you passionate about agricultural production, profitability and sustainability?
Do you believe that farming is about managing the whole system not just it’s components?
Are you motivated, forward thinking and love working with people?
You might be exactly who we are looking for!

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Land Services Officer – Mixed Farming to join our Agricultural Advisory team. The position will be based in the vibrant community of Forbes. We will also develop a talent pool to enable recruitment for potential future vacancies.

It is pleasing to see Land Services advertising for a whole systems operator which suggests a different approach.
